Residential
Painstaking work like the painting of the brick pool house at right shows
some of our experience with the unorthodox. The bricks were actually "half
painted" to mimic the look of brick that had been painted years ago
and left to weather naturally.
The owner of this house, center right, wanted the finish in this two-story
foyer to make a statement. However, wallcovering would have been cost
prohibitive. Our answer was to stripe the matte-finish walls with latex polyurethane
-- and the results speak for themselves. We have since striped walls in homes of the owner's
friends.
The massive volume of this residential party room/ pool house was highlighted
by dark Jacobean stain on the elegant woodwork and the off-white wall
and ceiling color.
